| Survey Description |
|
| Predominantly made up of residences built between the mid-1920s and the mid-1930s, this neighborhood is a monument to the Spanish/Mediterranean influence popular in residential architecture during that period. Rather than appearing out-of-place, the adobe Victorian at 2812 Ivy looks down majestically from a hill onto the newer development below. All room additions on the homes are appropriate to the original style. Houses and landscaping are neat well-maintained. The landscaping at 5174 Hallwood is especially notable--with desert fauna perfectly accenting the Pueblo architecture. While the Spanish/Mediterranean influence is felt in all of the older parts of the city, it is nowhere better expressed than at Rockledge. |
